The charm of Saigon, a photo from Ho Chi Minh, South East

Photographer's Note

Lovely, beautiful women on scooters (sometime locals call them "iron horses"), such is the charm of Saigon. Young and mobile, they negotiate their way through chaotic traffics of life; the future is uncertain but promising; they have everything to gain and little to lose; their parents told them so... they're the new women of vietnam and they're growing in number.
But locals do have certain prejudices/stereotypes against these young "aggressive" dressing women (read some comments from my other post).
Perhaps there's some truth to it but it seems unfair that a judgment on the first passing falls on the negative side.

WOW, beautiful! Love the impression of high speed and confidence from the girl. Looks like she's driving with her eyes closed, the queen of the road! Driving for guys in such an environment must not be always safe! :)

Great shot. You've keep her very clear and put excellent blur on everything else. To me it really captures my feelings of being in Saigon and Hanoi - I felt still while everything, especially the scooter traffic, raced chaoticly around me, like the eye of a hurricane. To me, this is what you've captured here. Great job.

girl without mask and long gloves ? ....hard to see such beauty with just a dress on her skinny body, and like every of them on scooters, they do not look around, they just look forward , like with eye blinders , like cobra watching its pray :)))

Very nice shot. The motion is caputered perfectly.
What I regret most is the bus behind - it'd be even more excellent if you could shoot her driving among other guys or passing the streets etc. Anyway it is a very beautiful shot.

Excellent! Great focus on the lady while giving a blur to the rest of the photo. How did you take this photo...while also riding a bike?
