Photographer's Note
Away from congested Bangkok, i recently moved to a more quieter and less crowded place.. this is a view of the khlong, 50 meters away from home.
About the shot
There are contrasting elements in this photo that i would like to convey. It somehow attracts my attention yielding me to take the shot.
About the title, A khlong (also commonly spelled Klong; Thai: คลอง) is the general name for a canal in the central plain of Thailand. These canals are spawned by the Chao Phraya, the Tha Chin, the Mae Klong Rivers and their tributaries. The Thai word khlong is not limited to artificial canals; also many smaller rivers are referred to as khlong followed by the name of the stream. (From Wikipedia)

Hi Albert
Very nice lighting captured here with the colours also complimenting. The ripples and reflections in the water add depth, it must be good that this is relatively unknown to tourists unlike Bangkok.

It seams a bit over-exposed but still is a nice photo with good colours and a good POV too.

Bonjour Albert,
une photo très colorée pour un restaurant un peu original, en tous cas par rapport à ceux que nous connaissons par ici.
Un peu d'industriel derrière, du coup, c'est moins sympathique, mais c'est la réalité.
Jolis reflets.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Hello Albert,
Beautiful colours, also in the reflections.
Good composition. Clear and sharp picture. Good idea to tell the TE-members where the excellent Thai food can be found in (or near) Bangkok.
Best regards, Paul

I love the luminosity and reflections in the water. There are bright parts but I don't see that as over-exposure as there are details to be seen and it gives the image the luminosity I mentioned. The boats themselves are very colourful. Nice to see something new from your country.

Albert,
The lighting in this shot is outstanding providing excellent warmth and color. The reflection adds nice depth and balance for the scene. Your composition is fine with the river leading the eye past the restaurant.

hello Albert
I don't understand why this place is not mentioned in the books guides,it seems so beautiful and so typical! If I had found it when I was in Thailand, sure that I would have eat here!I also could say that the food is better when it's not made for tourists!Concerning the photo, the colours are splendid enhanced by the beautiful reflection!

Hello Albert,
Yes I can fully understand what attracted you in this very contrasted view. There are so many color spots and the reflections in the water add to this impression.
This low evening light enhances the depth of the colors and create a marvelous painting.
Nice shot and thanks for your very complete note which I always appreciate.
Have a nice evening.
Best regards, Christian
