Photographer's Note
Taken in the House of Opium, in Sop Ruak (Golden Triangle).
The house of Opium is a small museum, dedicated to the culture of the Northern Thailand, but mostly to the opium trade in the old days, which was particularly significant in this region. Artifacts, weights, scales and pipes are amongst the objects that we can find there to help us understand this part of the history.
Here, we can see an opium smoker!

Hi Hola dear Ana
When I see this shot at a glace, I am very shocked but get relief after I find this is a doll not a man. Very realstic and sensetional image with documentation message too. Great light catching indeed, great composition and framework as usual.
Thanks a lot for your sharing and have a good Sunday!
Takero
PS Ya recent images for 2 festivals are lost completely, I regret so much for my managenet, shamed too.

Hi Ana - like Takero, it took me a moment to realize this was an exhibit and not a real person; I'm thankful it's the former! Nice recording of this interesting scene, with a great rendering of the difficult light source there. Its presence really makes the scene come alive and gives the eye something to start with before exploring the rest. Thanks!

Dobar dan.
Dobar tekst o kuci opijuma, muzeju ...
Dobra ostrina snimka, kontrast, lepe boje.
Dobra kompozicija, lepo pokazan eksponat u kuci opijuma.
Opijum je veliki problem za ljude, opasna navika i zavisnost.
Imajte lep dan za odmor, sve najbolje.
Paja.
Good day.
Good article on home opium, museum ...
Good image sharpness, contrast, beautiful color.
Good composition, nice house shown in the exhibit opium.
Opium is a big issue for people, a dangerous habit and addiction.
Have a nice day to rest, all the best.
Paja.

Hello Ana,
For a brief moment I thought this was real and I was amazed you could take such a picture. It doesn't get less interesting from being from a museum since it is informative and the light is well handled. It's fascinating in spite of being "fake".
Best regards,
Gert

Olá Ana,
Esta é uma imagem bonita, mas também assustador. A imagem é impressionante e deve dar uma pausa. Muito boa qualidade. Bravo.

Hi Ana
This looks like a very good museum, certainly this display is very lifelike. The man with the pipe look as if the opium has become an all consuming part of his life, I suppose similar to opium users in today's world too. Great use of the available light here to set the scene perfectly.
All the best
