Photographer's Note

maybe you have seen this already in some internet postcard. I had - before I saw this stone in real life and was much more impressed.

This photo is taken from a place that you will find on the map under the name Hin Ta Hin Yai - it is located on SE coast of the island. There are 2 famous rock formations - one is called "grandfather stone" and the other "grandmother stone". They are some 20-30 metres apart. Here, it is not hard to guess, you see the grandpa stone. Actually there's a lot more to the place than just these 2 stones. The whole area is very nice to walk around - there are different interesting formations other than grandma and grandpa too. When the sea is calm, it is a great place to go swimming. The locals also have picnics there sometimes.

There's a legend about some old couple and how they ended up as these stones too, but I'm sorry, I cannot remember how exactly did it go.
