Photographer's Note

Today I present an altered image of my yesterdays upload.
For those who haven't seen it the place is called Hat Rai Leh, one of the most scenic places to be in South-Thailand.

This pictures shows the cave-like strukture of the limestone-formations at the "Princess beach" one of four different picturesque beaches in this area, together with a heavy thunderstorm just approaching .

To show the arch above me it is absolutely necessary to use a super-wide-angle. This time I chose 19mm

To show pictures with such a big contrast of light and shadow it is a big challenge for a SLR. But I think the F6 managed the situation quite good.
This picture is a scanned image from my brilliant Fuji Velvia slide. The slide shows much more details especially in the highlights, but I think the scan is still good enough to present you the special feelings I had at the moment I took this photo.
