Photographer's Note

This was taken on the day one of Asiaís biggest and busiest airports opened. To me Suvarnabhumi (New Bangkok) International Airport was like visiting a space station, especially on my second visit, at night. The Ďarmsí of the airport stretched what seemed like kilometres, with the strange, ultra-modern architecture. On opening day, swarms of media camera crews, military officials and hoards of tourists flocked to the massive structure. After walking across the taxiway to the aging Airbus 300, I was fortunate enough to get close enough to one of the massive engines before the brief flight to Phuket.

Today marks my first year anniversary of Trek Earth membership. Thank you to all your comments, critiques and helpful tips, it has made a great difference to my photography. I am running out of material, so I will have to get back out into the field once all these exams are over!
