Actually Golden Bricks are not bricks. They are pieces of papers in stacks.
These pieces of paper symbolise money in the underworld. People burn them for gods or their ancestors so they can buy grocery or whatever they want in the underworld. We also burn these bricks for the dead so the dead will not disturb our life. Therefore this kind of "underworld currency" is called golden paper. They signify superstition, but there are a lot of extra meaning is these bricks.
