Hello Serghei,
A great capture of this lighthouse, which is heavily guarded, but also nicely decorated with the lions. I really like the warm/cold colour contrast as well as the play of shadows around the structure.

Hello Serghei, I have never seen a lighthouse being guarded in this way before.
I assume that this is as close as you dare go?
The lighthouse is very impressive, with a very fine base. The lions are quite beautiful and made in a distinctive style.

Hello Serghei,
I would not try to climb that platform as long as the soldier is standing there with his gun. But I checked on the map where this is located, and I think there are better views of the sea from other places anyway. It's a nice photo of the unusual lighthouse where only half of it is painted black and white. The soldier is a "nice" feature. You exposed the photo well in the strong light.

Nice capture of this light house in Colombo, taken with good pov and layout. Quite interesting detail at rigth bottom corner : the bird and watch, face to face.

Hello Sergio,
Particularly that this beautiful lighthouse is so heavily guarded. Apparently the situation in Sri Lanka is not entirely safe. This does not detract from the excellent quality of the photo.

Hi Serghei,

The armed guard at the locked door of the lighthouse looks threatening and intimidating with his machine gun. It may not have been all that safe in 2013 but I believe it is very much better in Sri Lanka these days. Tfs!

Magnificent photo of this lighthouse of considerable size, built in stone, the soldier standing guard, gives us an idea of its size, the lions in the corners of the large pedestal give much charm to the whole.
