Photographer's Note
I was heading out early this morning and decided to bring my camera with me for some random shots. As I was walking along, I happened to notice some bikes speeding by and decided to try my panning technique.
I slowed down the shutter speed intentionally in order to capture a bit of blur. This one turned out more by fluke then anything else, as it almost looks like a double exposure. I like the overall effect as it conveys a feeling of "Speed".
In a country such as Singapore where the population density is approx 3000+ people per square kilometer, it's not feasible for everyone to own a vehicle- there just isn't enough space. So you'll find that all forms of bikes are well used as day to day transportation.
I hope you like it!

Good compo for a paning shot. Yes, that is a strange efect. The only thing I can think of there is that you kept pace for a short time, lost it, then tracked again, hard o image that happening over such a short space of time.

Hi Dan,
A great capture and motion. You did well with the blur giving the feling of speed. Good colors, enquadrement, contrast and composition. This also a decisive momment!
Congratulations!

I prefer this kind of capturing the movement rather than blurred subjects in neat environment.
We can see more details.
The compo is nicely tilted and colours of Ducati are beautiful.

Well I really like this shot Dan. I have done this panning thing before at the drag races. 1/30th of a second is about right. Nice work. It must have been moving pretty fast too.

An interesting picture you captured. I could feel the speed as well. Did you take continous shots? It would be more interesting to merge those shots together to create even more duplicate shadow. WEll done.

Nice effect Daniel, the up hill accentuate the spedd effect and motion blur. What I like to do is a shutter speed just a little bit faster to have the subject with out blur by folowing it and shoot, not always easy. Anyway I like the result here, good light, well done.
