A huge variety of rooves are visible in this outlook. The cluster of restored shop-houses near the river are some of the original Singapore food-stalls. Now they are a very trendy area with high land values.

Hi Murray,

Definitely an interesting contrast of old, new and even futuristic architecture. The view from this point is excellent. I like the wide view of this city section. I do notice a reddish tinge on the upper section of this image though. Nice overall work Murray :-)

From where did you manage this excellent picture? The new building on the right is the High Court I believe. I have passed in front several times but it is the first time I am seeing it from above. An area that I know quite well is the old town on the other side of the river and you certainly know the reason!!! Well done,

Hi Murray,

All the the red or orange roofs are an eye catcher. The reflections innthe water are assets to the composition. The presence of the cars has an effect of scale. The low light is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Murray,

Despite the lack of strong light, you've produced a very good image. One thing that struck me as I scrutinized the image was the gently sloping roofs. The farther one travels in Europe or the US the steeper do the roofs become. Obviously, it is to minimize the weight of snow accumulating and threatening their collapse.
