Photographer's Note
This is one of the waterfalls in so called "Zmeika" (snake) series of small waterfalls near Eagle Rocks, in the Caucasus mountains near resort strip of seashore between Adler and Sochi. It was shot on a color film, but didn't come out all that great color-wise. Some PS work on sharpening, toning and manipulating the amount of shadow have helped immensely.

Very dramatic and unusual waterfall! I love the darkness surrounding it, and the exposure works in bringing out the details of the droplets. Nice, Michael!

Wow, this sort of settles the aurgument vis long or short exposures for waterfalls (at least till the next stunning slow one) as it perfectly captures the raw power and majesty of these falls.

This is really effective, particularly because one cannot see where the water is coming from or where it is going.

My favorite kind of picture. A lot of "play" between light and darkness.
