Photographer's Note

One of the first Russian Nobel prizers, and certainly one of the most famous of them, Academic Ivan Pavlov was a really quite brilliant man. He was one of the founders of Neurophysiology and Neurobiology, and his experiments on dogs bring him fame, and the proverb "Pavlov's Dog" become widely known.
So here is the Tower of Silence, special building in Institute of Experimental Medicine, in which dogs were kept in a conditions of total silence during the experiments on the sensour systems. Bulding was made in 1913-1917 with the use of special technologies to make it sound-proof.
Have to be noted, as well, that Pavlov was very humanistic towards his dogs and tried to do his experiments with as little hurt and pain to animal as possible.
