Numerous Sand Dollars near the shoreline of Samar Calbayog
This shot taken early morning while waiting for fishing boats to arrive, you can view 2 of them from a distance..
Common Sand Dollar(Echinarachnius parma) Sand Dollar live on sand bottom they feed on fine particles of organic matter, and are, in turn, eaten by bottom-feeding fishes. Am not sure but i think this marine animal is a close relative of the starfish(except that they are round in nature). When i was a kid i remember playing with them, throwing them like "frisbee disk" with other kids :-)Was naughty then..

Wow... This is great work. Composition and dof is perfect to show the animals, but I really really like the presence of the rowing boats (is that what they are?) on the horizon, in the haze. Very good light. I really like this picture.
I had no idea you could find sanddollars so easily in shallow water... They are indeed close relatives of starfish and urchins.

Wonderful POV, I like the way all is positioned in your frame, right up to the boats on the horizon. Lovely colour and light.
