Photographer's Note
Gumamela is a common name of Hibiscus in the Philippines. This is just one of the several species of this kind.
I took this photo in the Garden of my mom in front of our house. Setting my camera in a creative auto mode, i tried to play the background blur of the subject, here is the best outcome I had.
I used to recall during my childhood that the petals and the leaves of this was basically used for making bubbles during playtime. Crushed into a small amount of water will produce a kind'a sticky liquid base. Dip a straw in it, then blow it off and it produces bubbles. Oh, those were the days where technology is not at it's peak. Playing with all the basics in life...

Hi Sherwin
Your picture is beautiful, but the center of the flower, obviously not well implemented.
Such as macro images taken appropriate site (TREKEARTH) can not.
With respect

Hi Sherwin
Nicely composed hibiscus photo. I like the color ane the color contrast against the green well blured BG. Unfortunately the flower is a bit out of focus. You should use tripod, remmote release and aperture at least 9 (even that the BG would be less blured). Have a nice week ahead.
