Photographer's Note
This is second picture of "Ramadan" series. This man is making a 'duwa'(asking Allah to fullfill his wishes) in the holy month of 'Ramadan'(the ninth month of the Muslim year, during which one fasts from sunrise to sunset, not only from food, drink and sexual relations, but also from impure thoughts and harsh actions. Similar to Lent in the Christian tradition, it is a time of intense introspection and reaffirmation of one's faith. In Islam, this fast, Siyam, is one of the Five Pillars of Faith.)as Ramadan approaching to end..
----------
Meaning of Arabic text written on glass is:
"Bless, O Allah, Muhammad and his people as Thou didst bless Abraham and his people. Thou art indeed Praiseworthy, the Exalted."

HI Mujtaba,
An interesting post about religious traditions in your country, sharing places and ways of life is exactly the TE purpose, I find your choice of framing the man behing these signs interesting and creative, your note goes well with it, but maybe you could have translated the text to us ?
Have a nice day,

Hi Mujtaba. I have to say I´m not a religious person, although I´m repectfull about everybody´s believes. I love the framing, I think somehow I could imagine Ramadan like this. Very good idea, keep posting, I hope we understand each other throught photography... Would it be wonderfull, wouldnt it? Take care dear.

Great idea - nice framing, very creative. I hope you don't mind but I did a quick workshop to straighten out the slope of the text a little (things that aren't quite level just niggle at me) it's not perfect, but anyway...Well spotted.

I like the idea! A good one to say goodbye ramadan indeed! I like theat the writings are sharp and the man is blurred. Very good also with the nature surrounding this scene. It plants a context. I only regret that the writings are not straight horizontal (the ws of Claire is a good step). Anyway, a nice pic' and on the whole a good work you do in TE ;o)
Cheers,

This is really a very nice symbolic and evocative image Mutjaba - such a nice idea and observation to combine the words and the man makig a duwa. There is something quite special about the words being in focus whilst the manis not - it would have been interesting to reverse that process too.

hi Mujtaba,
this is a very impressive photo..I like the blurred man behind the scribbled dua..(I guess like us, you don't read-write Arabic ? I was not allowed to enter Omar Masjid in Jerusalem because of this :)..
I think it has a massive feeling of Islam with his outfit, golden dua, him praying in the midst of green..
