Photographer's Note

The sun sets as a river taxi and two carts drawn by buffalo cross the shallow Rapti river into the Royal Chitwan National Park in Southern Nepal. Each morning as we took the dug-out-canoe taxi across into the park we saw fresh tiger paw prints along the shore and back into the jungle. The park is crammed full of wildlife, in two days I was lucky enough to see: 23 asian one-horned rhino including 3 babies, 3 sloth bears, asian buffalo, elephants, wild boar, rhesus macacques, black faced langurs, a tortoise, 5 varieties of deer and many different types of birds. Unfortunately I didn't get a glimpse of the elusive tiger. Maybe next time!
