Photographer's Note

Strolling in the streets of Kathmandu is a crazy, multi-sensory experience. The colours, scents of spices, temples, shrines, flags, honking taxis, cyclists, etc, etc greet you as you explore the city.

Taken at bustling Thamel in the city's heartbeat on a slight hazy morning. This maybe not be technically 'beautiful' to TE standards though, but I really love the sense of movement of the people rushing about their daily lives. Yet I stood in their way and took an image at belt level, which almost gives the sense of stopping in that busy moment and capturing the stillness of slowing down in a moment of chaos.

Nothing out of ordinary as seen by the lens..

Setting: 15 mm, 1/25 sec, F5.6, ISO Raw 100, 0751 hrs

Hello Abmdsudi,
An excellent impression from the narrow streets of the town. I like the rather low viewpoint and the blur, which creates a very dynamic mood. The bright red clothes of the people is also attractive and stands out well.

Hello Abmdsudi, I do like your spontaneous pictures, taken from the waist in this particular case. You do really well to keep the camera steady!
