Les jeunes étudiantes de Bhamo rentrent à la ville.
Elle vont passer les vacances en famille.
Je les croise sur le bateau.
Au milieu des sacs de riz et des vélomoteurs.
Au milieu des paysans et des enfants à moitier nus.
Il y a ces jeunes avec un goût pour la modernité.
Ils regardent l'avenir.
Ils veulent grandir et voyager.
Ils veulent apprendre et comprendre.
Ils regardent loin devant.

Far away.
The young coeds of Bhamo return to the city.
They will spend the holidays in family.
I cross them on the boat.
In the middle of the bags of rice and motor cycles.
In the middle of the peasants and naked children.
There are these young people with a taste for modernity.
They look at the future.
They want to grow and travel.
They want to learn and understand.
They look at far away

Well Bertrand I have to add comment to this wonderful capture. The title and comments are very fitting here. Her backward gaze almost fits a title... Look where I Came From...but far away is very befitting here too. She has fine facial features. Good work!

Bonjour Bertrand,
énormément d'élégance dans les gestes de cette étudiante.
Une grande qualité dans tes portraits, que l'on retrouve à chaque fois, cette PDC très faible qui efface l'arrière plan et met en relief une cible avec un piqué précis en plus.
Des vêtements très blancs auraient pu provoquer de la surexposition, mais là encore, tu t'en es déjoué.
Vraiment de l'excellent boulot.

Le vêtement fait bien ressortir le visage, et si on additionne la pureté des traits du modèle avec son geste qui donne l'histoire on perçoit vraiment une personnalité forte, de la grace, en bref de la beauté tout court. C'est un art de faire sortir cela dans la photo.
