The pink umbrella gang
Yesterday Elaine showed a beautiful photo of Buddhist nuns.
Here is my pink version. Same same, but different.
These nuns and novices are waiting for their morning alms in front of a restaurant in Bago. They usually get cooked rice, fruit or a few kyat for their monastery.
I`m sure they received no KNORR instand soup as shown on the placard.
The sad news today. In myanmar 18 demonstrators were killed today who took to the streets for democracy and freedom. When will the madness end?

Hello Ronny
Superb repetition of the pink and saffron robed novice monks. I like the boy at right nicely breaking the pattern by facing into the sunlight. The others have their backs and umbrellas to us. Tfs!

Hi Ronny,
the little monks make a charming repeated motif here. The pink and red clothes look so attractive and unusual.
The umbrellas add another interesting touch here.
Very well seen and captured,
M

Hello Ronny,
You happened upon a really photographic scene!
These nuns, all dressed in pink, make a wonderful continuous line across the screen, punctuated by the brown parasols.
I wonder if those three, small nuns were considered too small for a parasol, or maybe, they have to earn them!
Thanks for sharing this,
Bev :-)

The young nuns make a nice line throughout the scene in their pink robes , it seems the second from the end has spotted you. Nice light and colours

Hi Ronny,
They make really picturesque group with pink gowns and brown umbrellas. And it is so nice to see that one has noticed you and gives wide smile. Sunshine also brightens her face perfectly. Yes, the news from there are certainly not good.

Hello Ronny,
Indeed, very sad news with the killing of demonstrators. More and more people in Myanmar are protesting against the coup, but I'm afraid the military will use more violence against the peaceful demonstrators.
Myanmar is the Buddhist country where you can see the most nuns, and also often a lot of novices. This according to my experience.
Stunning here with the long line in their pink garment.
I like how the second from the right smiles at the photographer.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ronny, the bright pink of the nun’s robes stand out in the sunshine as they wait for their alms. There is a nice repetition of the brown parasols/umbrellas.
Interesting note.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Ronny,
really sad news comes from Myanmar, and only solutions like this, study and prayers can solve the problem. Nice picture, my friend.

Hi Ronny
A fine street shot of nuns on alm collecting round with excellent focus and the amazing pinkish glow transforming this to a cheery eye popping shot. You lighting control is faultless and a pleasure to view. Congrats
