On the street, a photo from Rakhine, South

I saw three strange figures coming out of the fog in the street in Mrauk U. When they came closer and saw that I was interested, they posed for me. I hope you will like it.

When I looked at first thought what is wrong with the colour. On opening all was explained. A great group portrait with the foggy background.

Hello Malgo,

This shot certainly needs to be opened full size and the notes read.

It was worth waiting until the trio came closer for this much better, close-up of them.
I was fascinated by their mixture of western and traditional clothes; all the sandals were similar!
I would imagine that it was quite chilly in this mist.
Warm clothes would be necessary.

Hello Malgo, my neighbour today,
Very nice -almost- "oldie" in your gallery.
Very good layout and ligth. They are for shure not wealthy but much more luckier than ourselves living in big cities.

Happy to see this. It is a great people daily life photo. Life on Earth is so much different for them there. The far back one has difficult shoes. It would be nice to provide each with new ones to their liking. Their hands look tough, daily toil and hard work. No fashion for clothes, but interesting. Practical, not sure of the daily temperature, unwashed. I wish each to find the same happiness we have - thanks I do like it. drt100 David

Hello Malgo,
You were lucky to be able to take this photo. Probably foreigners were so scarce in this part of Burma that it was an adventure for them to pose for a photo. When you first saw them in the fog they were slightly out of focus, but here you got the sharpness perfectly right. I am just not entirely satisfied with the colours. There is a slight blue, or maybe green, hue that could easily have been adjusted. But even so it's a very good photo. Every day this week you have amazed me with your hidden treasures.

You have captured well the different expression of the men. The point of view is showing the details of their physionomy and of their clothings. The fog has a special effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Avant d'ouvrir l'onglet je croyais voir trois dames sur le bord du chemin qui faisaient du pouce, mais je vois trois hommes qui partent au travail par une journée très humide, d'où l'ambiance feutrée.

A superb group portrait of this trio who appeared out of the fog, which has given the image a cool blue toned look. Their hats a re similar to a Vietnamese 'non la' but with additional reinforcement. Tfs!

If this isn't a scene right out of daily life then I don't know what is. It is not always about having the photo with the most colours, dramatic setting og shocking occasion. Sometimes scenes like this, scenes out of the regular life of a region tells a story in itself.
Their expression is natural, their pose, their clothing, this is as close to the "real" place you can get.

It’s good that you also find time to post your older photos from your previous trips. It’s always interesting to see what a place was like years ago !
This portrait of 3 peasants is really genuine. They seemed to be happy to discover tourists, and apparently they wanted to interact.

Dear Malgo!
This is a very meaningful photo and Mrauk U was the best part of Myanmar I visited twice.I`m sure these men never had the chance to take part in an election. They look proud that a western person/woman has interest in their life and circumstance how they live.God bless them,
I have travelled not as much as you but Burmese people are the most wonderful I`ve met.
They are artists and create wonderful things out of nearly nothing.Especially love and peace among themselves.
