Une des attractions du Lac Inle au Myanmar sont ces pêcheurs Intha, réputés pour faire avancer leurs bateaux à fond plat en se tenant debout sur une jambe, l'autre enserrant une pagaie.
De vrais acrobates ou des danseurs !   

One of the main attractions of Inle Lake in Myanmar are Intha fishermen, very famous for practicing a distinctive rowing style which involves standing at the stern on one leg and wrapping the other leg around the oar

Le sujet est magnifique , dans une position acrobatique , on dirait presque un danseur . Et une scène capturée de façon très artistique , avec cette sorte de N&B agrémenté de la touche rose du sac .

Perfection is addiction and once it touches you, things change for ever.
Technically speaking the shot has been clicked with the precise settings with aperture of 9 and corresponding shutter speed 1/800, keeping the ISO at the Nikon level of 200, but the sky and the background seem overexposed.
Do you feel so, Patrick?
Aesthetically speaking the body language or the wrapping of one of the legs uplifts the entire mood of the shot and takes me to another level of dreaming.
wish I could copy this.

If I ever make it to Myanmar, I'll be taking a hard long look at your gallery here for ideas and cities :)

this is one of those rare photos where the overexposed white bg really helps because the main subjects are dark.

splendid shot, impressed with the final result.

Belle compo avec la lumiere blanche qui entoure la silhouette du pêcheur qui semble danser lors de la pêche, joli touche rose aussi

Je ne sais pas trop comment tu as fait pour obtenir cet effet (à la prise de vue ou en PP?) mais le résultat est vraiment très original et très esthétique.

Je suis toujours séduit par les silhouettes de ces pêcheurs du Myanmar ! L'effet de surexposition rend encore plus attractive cette silhouette. Cadrage bien équilibré également. Du beau boulot comme d'habitude !

looks like not the easiest way of fishing,but absolutely fascinating for us.
I must say in this case almost completely white surrounding works to your benefit as it enhances the perception of the fisherman and his acting.

your images from this lake are so different and each one is just so animated and beautiful. This one is so artistic in concept and the long lens has made it so wonderfully graphic. I love the subtle light and almost silhouetted effect which is both charming and captivating. A really serene and peaceful presentation. Sophisticated imagery!

Hello Patrick.
A very well timed photo, and an exposure which has washed out the sky and water to make the dancing fisherman stand out in this composition. He is so delicately balanced, and his net looks like the strings of a puppet. I like the flash of colour from that bag in the bow of the small boat. Marvellous photo.

Cette photo est superbe, elle provient d'une série magnifique dans ta galerie.

Ces photos "High Key" sont vraiment sympa d'autant que le graphisme sur cette image est superbe et correspond vraiment bien à ce type d'images sur-contrastée et sur-exposées

The difficult light has been managed to advantage here Patrick and I like the way you have concentrated on achieving colour and detail in the fisherman and his boat. You would agree that we can never get tired or bored watching images from Burma in particular this tranquil place, and I have many more and still intact waiting for the right time to upload again. This is so inspiring shot and lovely how you managed the lighting so well without blowing the subject and yet good amount of details are retained with little red to click our sense. Another quality shot as always.

Hi Patrick,

The presented well the bright light and condition of the hazy atmosphere. Which allow you to maintain good details and color of the main subject the boat and the fisherman, with some details and not in complete silhouette. A difficult light condition but you did really well.
