Photographer's Note

This is one of a number of pavilions (tazaung) that decorates the terrace of this pagoda. Among other functions, with the bright sun, they provide shelter in the form of shade and a bit cooler temperature. There is a small museum that contains some of the salvaged wooden and bronze Buddha figures from the 1930 earthquake. This I did not visit, however.
