Residents usually make a living by fishing, but they also make various bamboo trees flat and make them into a furrow, floating them on the water, and sprinkling soil on them to grow vegetables suitable for hydroponic cultivation such as tomatoes and peppers.


Tomatoes produced by water cultivation in Lake Inle account for 50% of Myanmar's tomato consumption.
But there are also side effects.That is too much chemical fertilizer. Because of the chemical fertilizer, the number of water plants that fish feed on is rapidly decreasing.
