Photographer's Note

White Lake (Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur in mongolian) is a beautiful national park with crystal clear water, ancient dead volcano-Khorgo and exotic natural formation. The national park is home to various wild animals and a great variety of beautiful flowers. It is believed that the lake was formed by lava flows from a volcanic eruption that blocked the river many millennia ago. The lake is 16 km in length, 10 km wide and 20 m deep, and it is home to many kinds of birds as swan, geese and duck, and fishes as pikes, lenoks and graylings.

Hello Zbigniew,
A beautiful and tranquil view of this landscape with the calm lake and the gently sloping hills. The small houses are well included in the foreground too and I like the reflections a lot as well as their pastel colours.

I remember staying at this lake on a 6 day trip to Hovsgol Lake. Good sharpness and amazing reflections with the permanent houses and temporary gers providing interesting contrasts. Tfs!

Hello Zbigniew,
This scene is the opposite of New York City. There is open space, quiet serenity, and just a few homes. I like how the fence cuts across the frame, and the reflection of the hills in the water. Very nice. :-)
