Photographer's Note
Thanks for all the comments! Here is the picture again with the top cropped off. Let me know what you think.

Homeless people are on the rise in Tokyo. The numbers seem to be increasing every year. While they used to sleep in parks, they have started to sleep in train stations.
Other than offensive smell these people give off, they are quite harmless. They do not beg or bother the people around them. This is a big difference between the homeless people I've seen in other countries.

It definitely has got the feeling of a documentary shot. Sometimes such pictures tell a thousand tales and the power of your picture Ken is that the viewer gets confronted with this person and without wonder we can see and feel a part of this person's tale of tragedy. Hopefully you didn't capture the end of his story... A very powerful and stunning shot!

I've lifted this quote from the overview of TE. "The underlying theme of TrekEarth is learning more about the world through photography."
This picture and the accompanying notes fulfil that brief totally. Telling picture that benefits from the B&W treatment.

While this one is also good, I really prefer the other one though. It has the balance that this one lacks.
