Photographer's Note

As I mentioned yesterday, there are many religious goods stores in the area near Asakusa. Here is a rack of Buddhist prayer beads, very similar in concept to the Catholic rosary. So much so that they must have had a common beginning. The beads are used to keep track of prayers (or chants). These cost over $100 each, so maybe not the best souvenir to take back from Japan. But pictures are free...
