Photographer's Note
I mentioned in the note to my last upload that I didn't take any exciting images of gassho zukuri houses in Shirakawa go. But then I saw this lovely photo taken by Malgo and it inspired me to dig out my own photo showing a similar situation.
Two more nothing special shots in WS.

Hello Kasia,
On this photo it looks like a nice warm day in April.
Repairs or maintenance of the roofs will probably be important with the heavy snowfall in the winter.
Nicely taken with the man on top of the ladder.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Kasia, just a pity for the roof cut in the main pic,but all very nice and curious, the architechture style is unique as i can see there and in one of the WS,while the dog house is a jewel only for rich..ehehe...well done! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Kasia,
Though this old house looks good too, nothing compares to the luxury dog house. :) Joking apart, you showed us another interesting photo from your past journeys.
Best Wishes,
Gy

Czesc Kasiu
Niby nic specjalnego, taki tytuł dajesz zdjęciu a ja żyłem tyle czasu w nieświadomości :) Oglądając zimowe zdjęcia z tego miejsca zawsze uwagę zwracały "miesiste" puchowe dachy.
Zdjecia w warsztacie uzupelniaja relacje
Ciekawa prezentacja
pozdrawiam
Piotr

Hi Kasia
what...???? No long note, no long funny story of something gone wrong but then turning out to be so right? I miss those stories haha. I guess not every scene has a unique funny story :)
Personally, I hate ladders, if I can avoid going up a ladder I most certainly will. There's something about them that just give me the creeps. It's probably one of the most dangerous things human's have ever created for walking on!. yikes. We can't find homes like this in Canada, I'd like to know more about its function and purpose. anyways, fun shot, good to see these from your archive. cheers

Hello Kasia,
I hate to upset you, but Malgo's photo is a more interesting composition than yours. :-( And the camera you used 10 years ago wasn't quite up to what you have today. But the house is beautiful and people at work are nearly always fascinating to watch. The dog in the WS is cute, and maybe proud of its house, and you used the good photo opportunity provided by the traffic mirror. But what are those large stones? Am I a sick man to think they look like phalli? ;-)
Kind regards,
Gert

Witaj Kasiu, Dzięki za link do mojego archiwalnego zdjęcia :). Rzeczywiście podobna scena. Niesamowita strzecha. I trzeba o nią dbać, żeby wytrzymała w zimie tony śniegu. Fajny niebieski koloryt.
Zabawny domek dla psa, ale taki wyściełany, kiedy dookoła architektura drewniana? Powinien był jak u nas na Podhalu. Ciekawe odbicie w lusterku. A te kamienie, Gert ma trochę racji... Pozdrawiam

Hi Kasia
This old house has character as the estate agent would say! It looks hopeful that someone takes on the repair project, I'd be alright getting up the roof but I probably wouldn't be able to get down later. Nice grab still with plenty of interest to keep you attention. Well done.
Best regards

Hello Kasia
Three special photos.
Funny idea to add the photo with the luxury doghouse to the two interesting photos of the house with the thatched roof and the roofers.
Excellent presentation
Have a nice day. Groet Rob

Hello Kasia,
The man on the ladder inspecting the thatched roof animates the scene. Good sharpness and tight framing although if possible I might have included more of the upper roof. Tfs!
