Photographer's Note
Kyomai is Kyoto-style dance performed by maiko (geisha apprentice), so elegant, so beautiful. It was one segment of the show in Gion Corner. This venue presents a variety show highlighting Japanese traditional cultural arts, from tea ceremony to flower arranging, from Japanese harp music to noh comic plays. It is a quick lesson of Japanese culture and performing arts.

Hi Tiffany
'Memoirs of a Geisha'....
I think I share your fascination! nicely illustrative, think you have captured her perfectly not strictly posed but enough elegance to show her profession which adds to the exotic feel to the image. You've been courageous in the composition such nice vibrant colors and the gorgeous costume, sadly you cut off her feet and that's my only niggle, but all that said it is still a good portrait. Congrats
Best regards
