Photographer's Note

This photo was taken inside the Hama Rikyu Garden in Tokyo looking out across the lake at the Tea House. This garden, which is surrounded by the ultra modern office buildings of the Ginza district, dates back 300 years. The garden was used by the Tokugawa shogun for duck hunting. Later on before being handed over to the people it was used by the Imperial family for entertaining dignitaries.
