Shibuya Winter Crowd, a photo from Tokyo, Kanto

Photographer's Note

A post from Francis made me want to show something of Shibuya.
I know the image is not that sharp and there is a guy with a woolen hat it the corner...
But I like the vibrant crowd of Shibuya and I hope I can show some of it here.
I only went to Tokyo in winter so here is what it looks like.

Yeap thats Tokyo, amazing place to take pictures of people in crowds, how do they cope day after day, made me dizzy just walking around dodging people.

I thought you took it in the early evening! One can feel the spirit of this street. It looks like as it was taken yesterday, not one and half year ago.

Excellent! I love seeing photos of crowds in the city. Its not staged or planned, its real life.
I'd say it was a girl with a woolly hat, myself. Its nice to be able to look at all the people in your photo, from the girl with the brown hair, to the old guy who stands out in the middle, and then the person with glasses who sees you taking the photo.

Hi there Jean,

This photo surprised me.. I'm a big fan of Japan, and even I didn't know the streets of Shibuya where so crowded. It must be quite an experience..
The ideia for the photo is also quite good.
I would never have thought that with so many people moving around, and from that angle, the picture would be so sharp and lively at the same time =) very good indeed.
