Photographer's Note
I dedicate this image to Takero. He has seen it already, on the LCD of my camera, a couple of hours after it had been taken, during our mini TE meeting in Tokyo.
Shinjuku is an area of Tokyo known for its train station, which is the busiest in the world, Tokyo government offices as well as its red-lights district and so called Electric Street housing many large electronic stores. It also has, in my opinion, some of the best displays of neon lights in Tokyo, so that's where I headed to test my new fisheye lens, purchased that very morning.
This is my last upload from Japan for now. I'm going to post something from my latest journey to Central Asia next. Mainly because Gert has been telling me off for some time for not showing images from my last 10 or so trips. ;-)

Hello Kasia,
Oh, what fun!! I can imagine that a fisheye lens could open up lots of inetersting photographi possibilities though, in the end, I can imagine that there won't always be very many occasions when one could use one.
But this is surely a perfect capture for your very first venture with your new toy! I love the circular frame, the curved "straight" lines and your own strong symmetrical composition too. Your depth of field is, of course, quite remarkable with everything in sharp focus throughout the frame - but I do like the fact that you have also used a fairly slow shutter speed to allow motion blur of the passers-by.
Lovely light and great rich colours.
I'm sure Takero will love this - because I do! :)
Brilliant!
Kindest Regards,
John.

Hi Kasia
A cracker of a smooth exposure level to this shot, is dynamic with blurry ghosts' movements but the building remains in sharp focus with crisp detail to settle the eyes. The framing really works great with nice central aspect enveloped by the glowing light. some intense colours and real close to enable the ultra wide lens to take the whole lot of the scene to reveal an extra ordinary depth and curvatures.
This perhaps how fish in a bowl see the world or simply 'fish's world perspective' I think, its an exciting sweet lens well worth messing around yielding a new dimension as portrayed. It's the way to express your bold ideas and for us to enjoy and feel. Remarkable capture :))
Best regards
Gerrit

Hello Kasia,
Dynamic shot that fits the lively environment perfectly. The orange color and the symmetry in the signs make the photo strong.
Thanks and regards,
Gerrit

Hello Kasia,
A creative use of the fish eye lens, with the image resembling a fortune teller's crystal ball. Excellent use of motion blur of the hurrying pedestrians. Tfs!

Hello Kasia,
I will look forward to seeing you taking my advice to move closer in time. ;-I
You could have dedicated this jointly to György for stepping into his special comfort zone of globalized photography. It's a really fun shot with the motion blurred people and the great orange Jumbo sign as the supreme eye-catchers. There's also a very nice starry light towards the upper right corner, and a superb contrast between the very good light inside the picture and the complete darkness outside.
Have a nice weekend,
Gert

Hello Kasia,
I don't have a lens, like this but I like the effect that it can have; here your shot looks like a crystal ball, the images suggesting what might be your future! It is so bright and colourful that immediately attracts attention and it's very well composed to create this sense of symmetry.
Oh dear, my suggestion that this might be your future didn't intend that you might become like an elephant but knowing you, you might become involved in the conservation of these wonderful animals!
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Kasia,
A great photo of the neon lights and the people rushing by. You captured the motion blur really well. The orange and yellow lights stand out wonderfully from the dark backdrop.

Hello Kasia
This seems to me exactly the right place and opportunity to try out your new fisheye lens. The composition is extremely suitable for this and the photo has therefore been extremely successful. Congratulations on the result.
Excellent work

Hi Kasia
So you met up with Takero! That's great. What was the meeting like? was it only for one evening, did you go to many different places? What is his English like? you know what I like most about this one, with all the distortions and circles, the horizontal line under JUMBO is perfectly straight anchoring the shot so well. Its a dream of mine to visit Tokyo for the same reasons you mentioned in the note. fun shot! I actually want to see more of your Tokyo shots hahaha. cheers

Not being very technical in photography, I had never heard of a fish-eye lens before, and thought from the thumbnail it was a capture taken in a giant Christmas ball. It’s very effective anyway,.
Good eeffect created by the blurred passers-by in the shopping centre.
Kind regards.
Marie-Louise.

Hello Kasia,
So, this is from a fisheye lens. I thought it was a reflection from a shiny sphere. In either case, I love the effect. 👍🏻👍🏻
