Photographer's Note

Five years ago I was experimenting for the first time with taxi signs and bokeh in Tokyo. Since then, I've made a whole collection throughout the world.

I had to do it again while playing in the traffic of Shinjuku district last spring, with better results this time.

The secret is about catching a cool light pattern and try to come up with an interesting colour composition and reflection, so you have to find the background first, and then wish for a taxi to arrive in the right spot.

Japan have the most interesting and unusual taxi signs in the world. More to come.
