Photographer's Note

The area between and including Biei and Furano in Hokkaido is peppered with farms that grow flowers. Some for sale in Hokkaido and mainland Japan, and some just to attract visitors. None of the farms charge an entry fee despite ensuring they have a car park big enough to cater for all the visitors. They usually make their money from selling ice creams and souvenirs etc. The Tomita Farm famous for it's lavender fields is just down the road from here. It's so commercialized now that I found it the least enjoyable in the area and I have no photos from there to post.
