Photographer's Note
Famous Floating Torii. Acclaimed by the Japanese as one of the countries most scenic views. The present structure dates from 1875 and stands roughly 16 metres tall (50'). The original dates to the 12th century. The torii is the sea entrance to the Itsukushima Shrine where the photo was taken from.

Hi Brendon, I like this photo for its clarity and glittering impression. The Torii is slightly out of the center and the sun reflects nicely in the water. I think I might have cropped it a bit to have less water and make it a little more square but it also looks good as it is now!

I like the picture... may be a little cropping from above and bottom to center the "Floating Torii".. but the picture is ok for me.. very nice landscape. Interesting note!

The solitude of this structure in the middle of the water makes this a very moving shot. This is wonderfully composed.

Hi Brendon,
Excellent capture, good note. The colours could have been sharper though. Thanks for sharing.
