Photographer's Note

I liked the way the three becak drivers were alined. Becak is the indonesian name for the local pedicabs. They are mainly used on smaller roads and alleyways were the regular public transport does not go to. Housewifes coming home from the market, children coming back from school and the odd tourists are usually seen using becaks. The price obviously varies depending on the lenght of the ride. Expect to pay from 3000 to 15000 idr (30cents to 1.50$usd). They are banned from the main big streets but you can still see some daring drivers ignoring the law causing even more traffic jams.
