Maybe the contrast is so strong and the face of the subject can't be seen, but that's the attractive way of this picture on the other hand: the man becomes anonymous (like the work he's doing) and the strong differences between shadows and lights enhance the hard working conditions. I like the high contrast presentation of this pic alot. Nicely composed with the man dominating the left third. And of course the colours are spectacular.

I also like the frame used. This pic demands a black background and your presentation gives it one.

I like the composition here, with the worker exiting to the left on the gangway. The strongest point IMO with the photo is that the worker's face is in darkness, and thus becoming a symbol for all the hardworking people of the world, especially those in poor countries.

Hi Barry, Discovering your gallery I'm really impressed: this high quality work. I like this composition very much. It has an excellent dynamic and makes the efforts of the worker clearly visible. Perhaps the contrast is a bit too strong or it's my monitor that 'enhances' it too much.

very well done,one does not need to the face .. the muscles on the legs and the load on the shoulders says it all;in essence the body language .it's almost as if you captured a sculpture. well done

Wow, this is a great work. The strong contrast and the old look of the ships in the background along with the strong man in the front gives this photo a special feeling.
