I think saree shops are just fabulous!I took this in a predominately Muslim area, that had many saree shops. Although many women in this area wear traditional clothing outside, they often have beautiful sarees on underneath.I think there is a perception that very conservative women are not interested in fashion. This is wrong. When I was shopping for sarees, we shopped along side very conservative women, excitedly tearing through the gorgeous fabric together.
I thought this was an interesting contrast. The traditional, conservative woman in the shop and the western mannequins modelling the latest fashion on the outside.

Goog frame. I like the colors well saturated and the funny contrast between the mannequins and the real woman wearing black clothes. You have a good eye !

Shot of daily life, quite differant of our clothe-shops as the mannequins shows us, colored sarees, I use them as curtains in the house, less colored then.

Fine compo with all the clear colors of India.
