A local jeep driver just stopped beside the Jayanti River probably to take a bath.
Jayanti village in Dooars, is famous for the breathtaking beauty of Jayanti River. With the lofty green Bhutal hills in the backdrop, the combination of white sand and the limpid stream just looks etherial.
Jayanti can be easily reached from Rajabhatkhawa,(20 km appx). The road runs through the jungles of Buxa Tiger reserve, and if you are lucky enough can get a glimpse of the elusive wildlife as well.
