Sundown near Dhanushkodi, a photo from Tamil Nadu, South

Photographer's Note

Dhanushkodi, 22Km from Rameswaram, lies still a few Km further on from this point, only reachable by foot or jeep. It was once a city connected with a railway at the tip of India in front of Sri Lanka but in 1964 destroyed by a storm and abandonned.

It was already 18:20 so when returning the sky started coloring totally red, the reality goes even beyond what I could catch here on the vast empty beach, a lonely fisherman house and some ships, the Parundu high in the sky.

A story aside :
A Tamil friend Maanikevil asked me: why do you have a beard ?
I told him : give me all your money, give me all your time ... this Guru will give you a dream ... :))!

Marvellous hues of colours and light in the sky here. The inclusion of the bird flying on the left gives interest to the composition and adds some dynamism. Good silhouettes.
