Photographer's Note
Thimmanatham
If you were 47, would you still be coco to climb a 12 metre high coco-nut tree for posing like this ?
Ochappan did, not for his portrait but for getting coconuts as welcome drink for his guests, a Tamil threat of rural hospitality.
Watch out ... he throws them down.
Enjoy
PS
A personal message by this shot especially to new members on TE ...
never forget, no matter what helping quality, unusual framing, compositions, camera techniques or post processing you use, it is YOUR eyes, YOUR personal view on the world and YOUR radiating message and story that take your shots beyond a nice trendy picture-show to the essence of real photography lasting for generations to come.

Hallo Henk,
Groet, Henk

Strong colours and strong compo! I'd like to return a smile to Oochappan

Hi Henk!
I would put this photo also in the "decisive moment" category. Excellent picture of a man at work, perfectly composed. Absolutely great light control. Congratulations!

Hi Henk
I think you meant getting coconuts, but the message is clear enough in the photo. Excellent sharpness & pov. Tfs!

Dag Henk,
Mooie foto.

hi henk
when I was at Goa, longtime ago, I tried to climb a coconut palm it is not easy, especially for occidental feet.
for your friend it is a daily gesture which it accomplished with ease .

Hallo Henk,

Hey Henk!
As usual, your notes are vibrating as your photos - and what a picture! Humorous, with a good smiling subject and good composition to open the space to the right, seeing the palms and among them the coco nuts...
TFS!

Super

Hi Henk.
We're going to have a problem. You should explain that when you talk about "coco" you don't talk about me.
And... and was only a joke!!
A good exposure and moment. But you're right, technicals parametres are not important. What is important is what we can see through your eyes.
Coco.

Hi Henk,
Thanks for your interesting note and PS, You're really right. The shot is amazing and funny, a piece of indian life in so big contact with the nature, at risk almost always. The color and light are marvellous, and the smile of Ochappan very very good. Thanks,
Angel.

The green in this shot is very much refreshing as those tender coconuts. And thanks for bringing a smiling Ochappan. Great shot with a exciting PoV. TFS

He seems fighting the laws of gravity, so unworried of falling down.
The leaves form a kind of roof here.
The trunk and the man are wisely positioned.
