Photographer's Note
a portrait from Likir today to hope for a reunion of all faiths in the world after the popes's death. just hoping for a peaceful world where differences would be assets more than food for fights, hatred and death...
this little monk was my favorite subject when i was in Likir. He had something special that really attracted my camera.
hope you will like this close-up.. no pp crop

Bonjour Eric

Very intimate portrait, Eric, it brings me memories of some travels back in the past. I like the POV because takes me directely to his mind, an this actitude makes me think also about other things.
I also hope of a peacefull world where we find out that there´s not religion nor country nor sexuality better than other and that is possible to learn one from another.

yes, Eric, a very good and thoughtful shot you took here, posted at the best possible time.
It leaves me dreaming that the Dalai lama could one day have the immense influence and audience Jean-Paul 2 had.

Nice shot Eric. Not too much to say or suggest. Even though it is "only" a headshot, his contemplative/hopeful look and the very good technicals of the shot make this very effective.

Very nice shot Eric;
I really like the angle you captured. The angle of his head in relation to the prayer beads is great, and I think what truly makes this shot work.
Could be just a tad sharper in my opinion... but all around mate. A great shot.
Cheers!

The gaze of the boy's eyes, the slight bow of his posture and head, the way he clenches the pray beads and brings it to his mouth - seemingly in a fleeting moment of deep thought. The deep red of the his robes on both sides of the picture frames and brings focus to his expressions, hands and beads. Excellent composition. Qudos.

Extraordinaire close-up et POV!
