That's a grand Umaid Bhawan Palace built in 1943 perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, taken from Meherangarh Fort on a late afternoon when one of the most beautiful part of the day occurs.

It seems amazing that they were still building over the top palaces in the 1940s and during the Raj. Great use of the late sun to make the palace glow.

A sensational composition, in which the neighborhood between the trees, gives a greater sense of perspective to the wonder that we can see in the background of the image, which is a huge and captivating building, I was lucky enough to stay here when visiting the city many years ago.
Superb composition and color.

Wow this is a very impressive sioght! A structure like this is usually best appreciated from a distance and you have found an optimal point of view to capture it. The town closer in the scene makes the fortress appear so enormous in size. Fantastic light of course the architecture feels as if made of gold.
