Shot taken at VIP road.. 10 minutes from my home.. I took this shot from a foot-bridge..
About VIP road:-
VIP Road, (officially Kazi Nazrul Islam Sarani), is a major thoroughfare connecting the city of Kolkata with the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. Located in the North-Eastern outskirts of the city, it was built in 1962 to provide speedy connection with the city and its sole airport. In recent times, it has been stuck with the problem of traffic jams especially in the crossings of Kestopur & Baguiati. VIP Road falls under the administration of South Dum Dum & Rajarhat-Gopalpur Municipalities. A flyover connecting VIP Road with EM Bypass has been opened in 2011, reducing traffic bottlenecks at Ultadanga crossing. However, a flank of the flyover collapsed onto Keshtopur Canal flowing beneath in March 2013.

The VIP Road runs from Ultadanga to Jessore Road near Dum Dum, ending near the entrance of the Dum Dum Airport, the sole airport serving the metropolis. Several locations lie along this road, such as Ultadanga, Lake Town, Bangur Avenue, Baguiati, Keshtopur and Tegharia. In fact, growth of VIP Road has facilitated the growth of these localities after independence. These localities enjoy extremely high density of population.

The stretch of VIP Road north of Baguiati are home to numerous residential complexes and shopping malls.

VIP Road provides access to the planned township of Rajarhat via a connecting road at Tegharia.

Belgharia Expressway, which provides access to NH2 and NH6, begins 2 km north of the junction with Jessore Road.

VIP Road runs just north of Salt Lake Sector 1 and is well connected to it by several footbridges and kheyas.

admirable capture, I live the concept of painting with light and it's something I have never successfully done, so a bonus point On that :) looks like a perfect road on which to play with the light too!

A dynamic night shot of the street with the streaks of warm lights serve as strong lead deep into the scene with good sparkling lights and colours which together add to the sensation. A fine attempt at night shot with appealing clarity, the dark sky just adds that finishing contrast nicely. Good effort my friend, keep it up! Congrats

nice the night view with the light on the right to looks like as a star as dominating the scene.I like the light and the colour management as the clarity of the image.

Hello Indrasish,
I suppose i have travelled this way a few times, but honestly I couldn't say that I recognize anything :-). Nevertheless it's an attractive and catchy photo with various sources of light providing a spectacular show. It's well composed with a strong diagonal accent.
