Welcome back to South Asia....

I think what makes Rajasthan such a compelling travel destination is its sense of authenticity. Against the backdrop of dusty land and sun-soaked skies, Rajasthan is filled with opulent colours. The Rajasthanis show a distinct preference for bright colorful traditional dresses from simple village folk or tribal belle to the royalty, the preferred colours are bright red, dazzling yellow, lively green or brilliant orange, highlighted by a lavish use of sparkling gold, silver 'zari' or 'gota' and heavy silver anklets. Their distinct preference for bright bold colours have added so much life to the barren and monotonous semi-desert landscape

She was a street musician's daughter, a tribal girl from a remote desert village I met in Jaisalmer Fort, Jaisalmer, one of the oldest desert town.

Focused on her joyful smiling eyes using the biggest aperture allowable and hopefully will brighten up any day!
