Endless horizons

Tso Moriri (4600mt)
Incredible reflections
and an eerie silence
the lake without waves
is animated, at times,
by a slight breeze
and changes shape
by the running clouds.
The sun burns
and only a passing cloud,
make you realize
to be as high as the sky.
Because are not the mountains
to betray the height,
they are rolling hills,
only some, more proud
show off a snowy hat.
It’s an unreal place
between water, sky and silences
only at night
the wind begins to rise
rippling waves
destroying the magical world of reflections.
The silence is now broken
by the slight rustle of the waves
and the air is piercing.

Riflessi incredibili
e un silenzio irreale
il lago senza onde
é animato, a tratti,
dalla lieve brezza
e cambia forma
con il correre delle nubi.
Il sole brucia
e, solo passaggio di una nuvola,
ci si accorge
di essere alti quanto il cielo.
Perché non sono le montagne
a tradire la quota,
esse sono dolci colline
e solo alcuna, più fiera,
ostenta un cappello di neve.
E' un luogo irreale
tra acqua, cielo e silenzi
solo a sera
si alza il vento
increspa le onde
e distrugge il magico mondo di riflessi.
Anche il silenzio é ora interrotto
dal lieve fruscìo delle onde
e l'aria diventa pungente.
