Photographer's Note

For a full month, heavy fog was prevailing all over northern India, sometimes so thick you couldn't see more than 2 meters in front of you.

Most flights from Delhi airport were seriously delayed, sometimes simply cancelled. It was also a problem for trains, while cars and trucks were implicated in dozens of accidents, sometimes fatal.

Photographically speaking, it was the worst possible scenario, providing a very thin harvest. After a month of crappy weather between Amritsar, Agra, Lucknow, Varanasi and Khajuraho, it wasn't hard for me to get extra motivated once in Rajasthan, as the blue sky was back again...

This kind of phenomemal fog isn't always as intense and cannot be predicted, unfortunately.
