Temptation at Dusk, a photo from Delhi, North

Photographer's Note

I have not really been able to figure out outdoor shot and always flounder. This one however was too hard to resist. it's a reflection shot like many others that I have composed but it contains both the subject and the reflection ful. To give it that twist I turned the image upside down. So what you actually see on the top if the reflection and in place of the reflection is the actual monument. I love the golden haze as it was one of those dusty Delhi dusks when the setting sun painted the particles golden.

This is a perfect and very artistic work. I only realised the up-side down aspect of the picture after reading the not. It is very well done. Congratulations.

Hi Aadil,
This one has a feeling of time gone by with that muted browny kind of colouring. Sharpness is great and it is so wonderful that you have gotten in the reflection on full and so smooth. A wonderful idea and effect and it reminds me of this mirror drawing device I used to have as a kid, where you hold this screen type of thing next to a picture and it forms the lines of the image (reflection) on the paper for you to learn how to draw, but always upside down.
Anyway, nice work!

It is a rarity that the reflection is as perfect as it is here. Often there is at least slight rippling that give the reflection some impressionism. Here the different colour gives the perfect reflection a surrealistic sight.

I went through your galery and you have definitly found your style.
This one in particular, a site well known, from an angle not seen often, a golden light that works wonder.
Reflexions are always popular, 2 for the price of one, rarely as well done like this one.
I do not think it was necessary to turn it upside down, but I respect your artistic choice.

At first glance and for a long as I look at it, I thought there was something not right about this image, I almost criticize that the filter on the sky is too much. Fortunately, I read your not before I said it and it make more sense now and the reflection in water though almost perfect, but the clarity is not as good. So I was nearly fooled. Nice twist. thanks.

One can't tell which one is the reflection and which one is the actual one, I don't know, also it does not matter, makes it more mysterious.Very delicate and beautiful.

What a splendid image, the sensational colours are like a watercolour painting. The reflection here is flawless, perfection. There is a glorious balance here, it has a very special, heavenly feel to it. The frame is classic and is the only way to add to such a special photo. Very dynamic, such clear and sharp imagery.
