It was 5:56 in the first cool morning light, sun had still to rise from behind the horizont, ready to go off to the Meenakshi Festival ... already 30 degrees, drinking water, the only way to fill up what you loose by sweating ... it will be hot like hell starting from 10 o'clock when the procession will pass nearby.

PS
- as subject is still more important then compo unless you like to focus only yourself with a note.
- no computershop open, 1st and 2nd May holiday here, so repairing my lap will be for tomorrow.

Very few light...iso 800 f:2,8 and only 1/30..just enough!i like the good focus on the drinking man..perfect timing,

Very interesting composition. the focus you choosed gets us right in what really matters in uch a day, drinking, drinking, drinking, ... i find what you did extremely effective. i also like very much the smile you got on the man's face in the background. Wide open... A very good one!

Hi Henk. Just took a look at some of your recent shots. Glad I clicked on this one. Now I can see the shallow depth of field and how it emphasises the detail on the man's face, like the beads of perspiration on his glistening skin. The distorted hugeness of his hand, out of focus, the tilt, the background, the obvious candid nature of this daily life shot, all make it a treasure. Quality is fabulous for 800 ISO. It really is a beauty, the way it speaks of heat and thirst.
