Photographer's Note
Early morning at 6:15 going to the Meenakshi Marriage Festival along the small streets, the first sunrays were falling in the streets of Madurai anouncing the highpoint of the Chitirai Festival, Thiruvilla.
But for the local residents the day starts normal by getting milk with a tiffan box while the calf drinks his first morning milk. At the end of the street the vegetable market, a man already buying a full bag.

Hallo Henk,
Ahhhhhh, wat een sfeer zo vroeg in de ochtend. Prachtig ochtendlicht en zoveel te zien. Mooi hoe de koe daar staat tegen de muur en het dagelijks leven een eerste aanvang heeft genomen.
Mooie sfeervolle foto in prachtig licht.
Groet, Henk

India is quite amazing - there are people up working til late at night - and like this, get up early and you'll find people getting ready for work or already starting. Great array of colors in this shot throughout.
Cheers,

Hi Henk
good to drop by your gallery and to enjoy the photos.
I love this early morning shot for the fact that it has captured the essential elements of the early morning in Madurai .. cyclists, people walking + I like the way sunlight is highlithing the hair of the cyclist.
If I could have seen a milk man or someone sweeping the street .. that would have been a Classique ... :)
anyways ... thanks for the share ... cheers ... Sarju
PS: I am back in Canada .. and for a change .. working full time .. lols

hi Henk
le choix du bracketing couplé au HDR est judicieux, car il nous permet d'avoir les couleurs de l'arrière avec de nombreuxc détails devant.
excellent boulot

Yo Henk!
I love the POV fading away into a vanishing point.. it's good for the eye to follow! But the colours on the building and the documentation of another morning in Madurai is a nice sentiment.
Thanks

Two great values of that photo of yours, Henk...
1. Informative
You can spend quite a good time scanning all the details of this scene out there...The architecture of this incredibly shabby place, its dirt, its mess, its 'disorganized order'…You start to imagine the people of this dwell.. Their daily life… That cow over there (?!)…You can almost sniff the smell of the rotten byproducts of these people activities, and then…
2. Your photography, Henk…
You presented this place in such a way that is almost like magical land of grand theatre on the world stage.
It's exciting, exhilarating, captivating…I want to be there and touch the pavement, follow that cow…Talk to the people…I want to understand the diversity of their life…
My head is spinning, good buddy…
I can smell the air out there…
Hanks…It was time well spent.

Hello Henk,
This is great stuff! This street is already full of life at 06h15, even if it's still a bit slow we can feel it, abd this low light reveals so many beautiful details on the old facades of the buildings.
Love all the ways, this mix of walking persons, other on bikes, a cow, this is tyical from those stops and it's lovely different from our western uses.
Cheers.

Another great street scene that I'd like to remember, the light is admirable, if it were not for the modern car on the left, I'd say that nothing has changed in decades, with those old bicycles... Great atmosphere,
Sandipoom,
Cath.
