The coastal areas of Kerala are a vast network of rivers, lakes, and lagoons, known as the "backwaters." Almost all transportation is by boat. These guys had been dredging sand and have a boat that's on the verge of capsizing.

Hello Randy - This is one of the best shots I have seen on TE of the backwaters. The diagonal positioning of the boat together with the strong lines created by the poles make for a really good composition. The eye contact of the main man creates immediacy and the wonderful greenery adds context. Excellent shot. Well done. Best regards Rosemary

Wonderful composition. I like how the poles used by the men mimic the trees in the background and that eye contact has been made. Great clear details.
